TOM TOMATIO-the story of the foolish tomato (By Jonah Mays)

Hola Amigos, yo escribe Los Mays.

Hey, did you notice? Yo hablo espoñel!
Tū hablas espoñel?

Too bad.

Anyway, I think its time for a Fictional story. Which is why I did not write one on this blog post.
Today, I am sharing with you...

THE STORY OF
TOM TOMATIO-LOS GREAT TOMATO!

our great adventure begins with a flabberghasting definition...zzzzzz....
Tom Tomatio was a tomato. But no ordinary tomato. He was a tomat-io!
and he looooved sandwhiches. you know all that pig's thigh about, you know, uh, slop, uh loving the moon, or the sun loving pigs or whatever. Well, Tom loved sandwhiches.
So much in fact, that when the cook anounced his fate in her lunch............................ He leaped 50 feet in the air, never to be seen again.

                 the end!

okay, now that the definition is over...
Tom Tomatio Jr, he had the same deal. same thing with the cook and whatnot. but he was not wearing special spring boots, so he did not leap up fifty feet in the air. He ambled home to tell his family the news. "sure, the knife'll hurt a little, but whatevs." was his motto, after all!
But, due to unfortunate and unlikely circumstances, caused by 'the mishap of the knife' (see the Tomato's guide to living..) as unexpected yet interpreted by the authority of fortunetellers who have the write as to drop in in such a situtation as this improbable-okay, I'll stop. It just sounded official.

basically, he was cut in half, never to be seen again.

                               the end!

Now, Tom Tomatio the third....

Again, why are my things so lethal to me!? (By Jonah)

Dang, how many times am I going to be on the brink of death with normal, Day-to-Day items??

(Note to self: I just proved that grandmas are day-to-day items. Come up with a contort to THAT! :D)

I present to you....(note: scroll down to the bottom to read without interruption from this intro)

THE TIME I BARELY SURVIVED MY OWN
                               BUTTERSCOTCH!!!

here I am again, let me prove to you that I do not have a normal life. First off, take my Grandma
Jojo...(hehe you can't talk to me when I blog! :P)
Anyway, what with the dog, the Creepy Deadly Scary Dungeon, backyard, and now a common candy among-ahem,- old people.
So here I was, the up-to-date hero who totally didn't write this 32 days and 5 hours after it happened.
(aw, dang you noticed I didn't say 43 days and 6 hours...)
Then all of the sudden, a dangerous act, a deadly reality, a smacktazamicable (don't ask) catastrophic disastrous event occurred, happened, enchilada, WHATEVER you want to call it. (see, this is why I space things out. you totally didn't notice the enchilada I threw in that jumble of words)...

I swallowed..my Butterscotch!

Fortunately,  I didn't throw up. that would be embarrassing. Instead, I choked to death.
I know, lucky right? Mommy is smiling at this. She may deny it, but she's glad she didn't have to clean up throw up. (once she reads this,  however, she may NOT deny it!)

This is my ghost typing. Oh, yeah, forgot about the, uh, facing through hands (we had to look up 'word that means I can walk through walls' to get that word out of the Internet!)

Anyway, toodle-oo for now!

Josh was gone, so we lived outside.

Outside is easier with a dog still learning the housebreaking rules. There's more room to run outside and to wear our his puppy enthusiasm. While Josh was doing research all across the country (really just New York, New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts), we spent all kinds of time outside.

At the time this picture was taken, one child was sporting a knee scrape, one child was sulking about being told not to try catching fish in the lake by hand, and one child was upset about being too short to sit on the bench for the picture. I'll let you guess which child was which.

the chickens are growing

These little chicks all started out in one tiny box. I was skeptical about mail order chickens, but all 16 were perky and happy when they arrived.

From day 1, Caroline has loved one chicken the most. She's all white, but as a chick, she was just a fuzzy yellow thing.

When it's warm outside, we take them out for some fresh air. It was too cold for them to live outside at this size, but as soon as they have enough feathers, they'll be out in the new coop we're building them. We're hoping to finish the chicken house this weekend, but it might not be until next weekend that we finally get them out of the house. Either way, I need to run downstairs and clean out their box and water because they are filthy little things...but cute!

Here's Caroline last week with her favorite chicken again. She even has more feathers than that this week, but you can see how much bigger she is already!

Can we do one for me? (by Miriam)

So. When she woke up, she woke up without me. I couldn't say anything without her help. I thought she was in the bathroom, but she was outside with Caroline. I didn't know if she would come back! She just standed up and left whenever she likeded. I wrote her a poem without even scripturing. When I lookeded up, I didn't have my water! I couldn't believe! I had to get up but couldn't. White tape, white tape, white tape, white tape, blue tape, blue tape, blue tape, any kind of tape. (Yes, that's actually what she said, gesticulating wildly all the time.)

I could finish up until we do it. But I don't know how to do Farmer and the Dell! I'm not going to do whatever she said.

The End

The time when Mommy raked the leaves (by Caroline)

Mommy was outside raking the leaves when I looked out my window. I wanted to join her! Jonah came and told me that I could get up and go outside but not stay in the house. So I cleaned up a few things and went out. Mommy said, "Is your room clean? If so, you can come outside!" I said, "no." So I went inside and looked out my window. It looked like so much fun because raking leaves and jumping in piles would be no fun without someone to have fun with. So I cleaned up my room and went outside.

Mommy said I should wear shoes because of ant piles under the leaves. So I went inside again and tried to find a pair of boots, but I could not. So I went outside and said, "I cannot find any boots except for the soft boots but they might not work for ants and leaves, so those ones are no use except in the snow. Thanks, though!" And then I played outside. I jumped in the leaves but Vexorg would not come down the steps! Vexorg chased the rake when Mommy was raking and it was crazy. Then I played in the leaves and had so much fun! But then Vexorg got too rough, so we came inside.

After Caroline is done with school (yes, this is still being narrated by Caroline), we are going to watch a show! Then Mommy is going to make dinner while we watch the show. Then we are going to eat dinner and play about 3 or 2 or 1 round of UNO and play hide and seek and then we'll go to bed. And Mim says that when we watch the show, can Mommy make us some popcorn.

The End.

For Some Reason It Seems Like I can't survive me own anything....(By Jonah)

THE TIME (STILL GOING!) I BARELY
         SURVIVED MY OWN DOG!

Yeah, yeah, I know, its the sequel to the sequel. The 3quel, I guess.
Just listen...

It all started with a bad comic.
We got a dog, and my dad wanted to name him Vexorg, Vex for short. Look up what Vex means...
To greatly annoy or to cause distress.
I know, right? At the time I thought that was a horrible name. It sounds more like an imperial Star Wars officer, instead of a friendly dog like..Vexorg.
Well, those of you who have had a puppy before, probably know how wrong I was.
Whether he was eating me alive, chasing the chickens, or chewing on things that were...not...meant...to..be chewed, he totally lived up to his name.
As I am writing this, he is being cute, then coming over and mauling my foot.
He is an AWESOME puppy, at night I watch Phineas & Ferb while he sits on my lap, getting a tummy rub and licking me. (oh, btw, he is ENCHANTED by the Television :P)

But, he does like to eat me!

Coming up next week: The Time I Barely Survived My Own ButterScotch, A TRUE story, just like all of these ridiculous coincidinces.

we moved!

We bought a house. Yay! We love it. I'm tired all the time, but it's a great kind of tired that comes from painting walls and unpacking boxes and trying to restore some semblance of normalcy to my sweet children's schedules.

I'm falling asleep as I write this (thanks, Daylight Savings Time), but never fear: we are all alive and well, even if Jonah keeps ending up locked in the basement and lost in the forest.

My goal this weekend is to take a picture for our Christmas card. Every year I want to get my cards out right after Thanksgiving and end up sending them a week before Christmas. Maybe this will be the year. Otherwise, my poor post office will spend the whole month forwarding my mail.

Speaking of post offices, our new post office is small and quaint. The women that work there are kind and patient when I call with a million questions about my mail delivery or show up at 7am for the box of chicks we ordered. I'm sure there will be parts of living rurally that we won't love. One of our favorite parts so far, though, has been our neighbors: they've been kind, helpful, and humble.

THE TIME I BARELY SURVIVED MY OWN BASEMENT--The sequel (by Jonah Mays)

So, it started out as a normal day.
I was practicing the piano, and Caroline wanted to play with me.
I finished up, and we messed around in the basement, where I pretended to lock her in. She shouted gleefully as she escaped, and chased me around the house. Then, she said "Jonah, I want to show you something" she took me into the basement, locked the door, and while closing it she said "you locked the door, and I still opened it!" too late, I realized my acting was too good and Caroline was locking us...

    IN THE BASEMENT!--the sequel

A note: I have not added any humor into this story *cough* *cough*
so don't say I didn't warn you, Grandmas. Also, this is a true story-is that correct? Well, do hawks use the stars to navigate?......Well, too bad, I didn't know that I, uh, hoped you did. Well, anyway, this is as serious as your neighbors laundries stitches. Enjoy.
                                                                                                                          -J.R.M.

As soon as we were locked in the Terrifying Horrible Dungeon, (or the basement) Caroline said, while putting her hand on the door..."See? I can open it even when it's..."
she turned the handle.
It didn't budge.
Caroline gasped.
I ate a banana that happened to be sitting in my pocket.
*tuuuuuuurn*
It still didn't budge.
Caroline whimpered.
The baby chicks clucked.
I ran out of short sentences.

So, then we tried the basement door, (which was conveniently locked.) so, then we moved on to the door again. Caroline, devastated, began spilling-er, playing with- sawdust all over the stairs. Then, I became responsible. Those 4 years of learning how to survive in impossible situations (thanks a lot, Cub Scouts) finally payed off. Well, except for that time a few weeks ago when I..actually, Lazy Bones, if you want to hear about that skip back a blog.
Anyway, I tore out a piece of paper from a notebook (I know, totally amazing thinking, right?), took a pencil that Caroline was stirring her sawdust with, and wrote this inspiring, creative, amazingly grown-up letter

     mommy-
we are trapped in the basement.
please unlock the door.

     -Papa Johns Pizza

I REALLY DID WRITE THAT. NO, REALLY.

    THE END---THE SEQUEL TO NOTHING.

YEAH, JOJO, YOU'RE WAITIN' FOR THIS ONE. (BY JONAH)

                                          PROLOGUE

                             |  sorry grandmas, for the delay,     |
            | but before we begin, I must say;   |
            |  especially Jojo, don't be a hog,  |
            | I need some of my time,            |
            | I can't always blog!               |

        JONAH BLOGS PRESENTS----
   THE TIME I BARELY SURVIVED
MY OWN BACKYARD ---by Jonah Mays

It all started when Jojo came to visit and wanted to explore the forest in our backyard.
(oh, and btw, she thought that 2 miles flat was 5 and a half miles.)
We walked up to the creek, and she wanted to go to the end of the property.
When we got there, I was ready to go back. Jojo wasn't. Or Caroline.

Joj: oh, we'll just explore this one more thing!
C: yeah!
Jon: we've already done that 86 times.
Joj: come on!

then, I started walking back. alone. "No, wait for us!" "You'll get lost!" (as I was walking on the right path).  So, I stopped. Caroline thought that the other path was the right one, so we started walking on Caroline's path. eventually, we came to the creek. WITH NO BRIDGE.  Caroline, after walking into a bunch of thorns, (like, thousands of thorns, we were all walking through them but Caroline had sandles)  burst into tears, I, trying to keep from sinking to the ground, trudged on into the forest, Jojo was freaking out, and Miriam, not exactly understanding the grimness of the situation, was frequently asking me if we could go home now. (oh, and strongly stating how she hated 'pookys')

I think I was fine (as I had been many, many times in the forest before) until Jojo said she wished she had brought her phone. After that, I went

             WHAT???!!!!!!!!

Yeah, everyone was sinking into despair. We had been in the forest about 45 minutes and walking through a forest with no bridge to the other side of the creek. We were pretty sure we were to far left, but the creek- at least we thought- had ended (it had actually gone underground). Then, we heard the most beautiful sound of the world, the glorious cry of heaven--

"JONAH? CAROLINE? ARE YOU GUYS OKAY?"

                             EPILOGUE

well, my point proved that we should never trust Jojo, we were driving home. Thinking to myself, I tried not to laugh that I am usually the big scaredy cat, then keep calm as Jojo and Caroline are walking into a sea of thorns. (And then my mom who I got my cautiousness from saves the day).
But, evil-villain-who-never-has-any-fun-and-then-turns-out-to-be-the-superhero or not, I got rewarded with a wonderful meal from Sonic. And then slept like a log. Then made a blog.

Once there was a boy named BallFoot.
You will never guess what sport he played...!
AUDIENCE: FOOTBALL!

uhh...golf?

AUDIENCE: no, FOOT-BALL!

well, er, I don't know what you mean, basketball!

AUDIENCE: NOOOO! F-O-O-T-B-A-L-L! FOOT-BALL!

hard to argue with that. But, no! wrong! he played fùtball!

AUDIENCE: hmph.

well, he was called Ballfoot because....uh....Drumroll, pór fávor....

DRUMMER:............................................................................................................................................

Fine. Because he was horrid at football. I mean, fútball!

AUDIENCE LEAVES

aaaw, great.

DRUMMER: sorry, I was gone. One drumroll, coming right up!

drumroll
hmmmph.

Anyway, ballfoot got teased a lot. 'you'll never be a good player, butterfingers!' they said. Then, One day, he DROPPED THE BALL.....and because of his horrible footing, he fell right unto the ball....

AUDIENCE RETURNS

RANDOM MAN: and kicked the ball for a touchdown!
WHOOOOHOOO! good story, man!

Uhh, no. that's not how it works. Mississipi fumbled the ball and his team lost.

Miriam says

Every time we run anywhere: First one there gets a rotten egg!

When she asks to do something that's dangerous or complicated: I know when I can do this. When I'm a mom! When will I be a mom? When I'm five?

Only to me: Mommy, you are my horse. Here. I will feed you carrots.

Anytime I talk within an hour of the horse game: Shhhh! Mommy. Horses don't talk.

When discussing Halloween costume ideas: I could be a wolf, or a pig, or a witch, or a bee bush, or a fence. Or I could be a road sign or the sky!

When trying to get me to guess something she's thinking of: It starts with mmmm....mmmmm....like Miriam! (Then she whispers the word to me so I can guess.)

Every single morning, right when the sky turns barely blue: The sun is up now, Grandma*. Will you make me some cereal?

*She likes to pretend that Caroline is her mother, which makes me the Grandma. When I'm not the horse, of course.

gearing up for new baby chicks!

Our poor chicken flock is down to two hens. We lost Pecky (the family's very favorite) to an unknown predator over a month ago. Buffy and Nevyn still stick together while they forage in the yard, but they hardly make up anything you would call a flock. Since most feed stores around these parts only sell chickens in the spring, we've decided to order some online. (Thanks, Mom, for the idea!) In the end, we went with an egg-laying assortment. In theory, this will be an assortment of female chickens from a variety of different breeds. This will give us the chance to see all kinds of pretty chicks and save us a few dollars.

The hatchery we've gone with guarantees at least five different types of chickens from the following list: Australorps, Brahmas, Cornish, Black/White Giants, Orpingtons, New Hampshire, Rhode Island Reds, Barred/Partridge Rocks, Delaware, Sussex, Turkens, Wyandottes, Red/Black Stars. For those of you who haven't spent the weekend looking at chicken catalogs, Pecky and Pig were Rhode Island Reds, Buffy is an Orpington, Nevyn is a Barred Rock, and Penguin was a Wyandotte. We'd be happy with just those breeds again, but I'm really hoping for an Australorp, Sussex, or Delaware this time. Those are breeds I would choose if I was picking chickens in person. Aren't they pretty?

What I do not want is a Turken. I almost decided against ordering from this particular hatchery just because of the possibility of getting a Turken. I have no idea what we'll do if we open the box and there are 5 Turkens inside.

I can already see it now: a box full of Turkens and children who love the ugly things too much for me to accidentally feed them to the neighborhood cats and snakes. Heaven help us if I have to look out the window at my majestic flock every day and see a bunch of naked necks running around the yard!

the end

Okay, I seriously do not know how many blogs I'm going to write today.
(Hopefully, multiple blogs are okay!)

So, I just read comments on multiple blogs, and I was going to let you know that I hadn't read comments before. Once I ask my mom, I may even by adding comments myself!

I saw lots of questions, which unfortunately I have not answered yet.
So, from now on I will be reading comments (or, hopefully, will be!)
there isn't much purpose in this blog except to let you know of that

Jonah {casually}: I know William Shakespheare, by the way. (by Jonah Mays)

Wha? Ya don't believe me? well, I'll show you!

Yeah, that's right!
In fact, I'll prove it!

I can spell extremely correctly and have a very large, uhhh, vocabyularry! Yeah!
Well?

Oh, come on! You still don't believe me? SERIOUSLY? Dude, I can type in color!
fine. I'll write you a play so you can believe me. HMPH!

A CUB SCOUT SKIT_____THE INVISIBLE BENCH

Lucas walks over and appears to sit on nothing
Chris walks over and stands by Lucas
Chris: Hey Lucas! What are you doing?
Lucas: eh, sitting on the invisible bench
Chris: cool! can I sit, too?
Lucas: Sure
Cohen walks over
Cohen: what are you doing?
Chris: sitting on the invisible bench
Cohen: I want to sit, too
Chris: Alright.
that process repeats until there are about 12 boys sitting on the "invisible bench"
Jonah walks over
Jonah: hey, what are you guys doing?
Lincoln: sitting on the invisible bench!
Jonah: Oh that? I moved it last week!
everyone falls  over
See? do you believe me now? NOW? Wait, what do you mean I'm over a thousand years old????

THE BONZI-----written by Jonah Mays-----A true story---{by_Jonah_Mays}

A POEM, WRITTEN BY JONAH MAYS:

THE BONZI-----written by Jonah Mays-----A true story--

|   one day I went to the water park,
|   in front of me a man said "Hark!
|  "see the great slide! Take a ride!"
|   I stared up at the great slide,
|   thirty feet tall . . . and two feet wide.
|   the only fact that gave me a frown
|   was the direction-the slide was pointing
|
|
|  STRAIT DOWN!
|
|   while staring up at that great thriller,
|  I said to myself, "this slide is a killer!"
|   So the solutiton that I have drawn,
|  was to make fun of it-with my mom
|   "A sliver of NOPE to go on my plate,
|  "A big slice of NADA, before it's too late!
|  "6 orders of NAH, with extra NAH steak,
|    "a large helping of fries, with extra ZILCH cake!"

the day that was fun (by Caroline)

Today we went and had a fun time. Miriam is watching Balto. It's really fun and we have a lot of school to do. Right now, Mim really likes watching Balto. We tried to sew today! Mine was really good. And, we are going to have some snacks soon. This is my first time of writing blog for school.

I am starting to read! It's fun. I made a picture with an apple tree, grass, sun, sky, clouds, and some little birds. Also, we are going to have such fun and all of us had fun.

I got a bubble necklace at music class! It was fun. I blew bubbles and put it around my neck. At night, I kept it on Mommy's shelf. In the morning, we went for a walk and I blew bubbles, found two snails, and went on the walk. I was so cold that I went inside. I found Christmas stickers and picked out what stickers and wrapping we want, but we couldn't find the bows.

Thank you for listening to my story! That's the end.

RAINGUTTER REGATA~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(BY JONAH MAYS)

~THE RAINGUTTER REGATA cub scout activity~
The Raingutter Regata is a boat race for cub scouts. They set you up with a kit (two wooden sticks, a boat frame, a sail, a mast, and instructions for making a boat) the boys, 8-10 design, color, and race their boats! It's a lot of fun!

step one: sand off the sticks to a racing shape-slanted at the front, and rounded edges.

step two: if you are going to, paint your boat frame any given color or multi color.

step three: design the sail and attach it to the hole located in the middle of the boat frame.

step four: screw the sticks into place with the boat frame, and practice blowing through a straw!

step five: drive to the church, and RACE RACE RACE!

So, here is a picture of the Military Cruiser! It's  awesome! the sail is an american flag, and the hull is camouflage, to look like a navy ship. I got the award "MOST PATRIOTIC" after the race, and when it came to the race, I was in fifth place!

(note: instead of painting the
boat, I wrapped camo
tape around it to make a
military look, as I was
going for a military boat.
I'm pretty happy with the boat,
but don't tell daddy the paint
is flaking off, because then he'll
tease me for the rest of eternity)

ask the librarian

Growing up, I never took advantage of the school or local librarians. I've always preferred to walk around the library (and stores, actually) myself rather than have someone show me around. I'm just now thinking that I might have had better success finding good books in CG's library if I'd enlisted the help of the librarians.

Maybe for this reason or maybe because we homeschool, I'm working hard to make sure my children know how to use both the online catalog and feel comfortable talking to the librarians. Jonah isn't so sure, but Caroline has embraced it completely.

For some reason or another, she has been very interested in The Lion King recently. At the library last week, she came up to me with a picture book version of the movie. She flipped open the book and asked me whether a particular cub was Simba or Nala. "The librarian wasn't sure, but she did find me this book!" Later, when Miriam wanted a copy of The Three Little Pigs, I tried to herd the kids to the computer. "No, Mom!" Caroline said, "I know what to do!" She marched right over to the librarian and asked for help finding a book for her sister.

I was so proud, even if she did tell me she didn't want my help.

it's an eclipse!

So there was an eclipse! Josh came home early, so we pulled the kids outside and enjoyed watching the sun disappear. These pictures are from early on in the process since things got too interesting for taking pictures pretty quickly. We followed it up with doughnuts and making chalk eclipses.

Could she really see with her hand over the glasses? Probably not.

The pinhole viewer was neat, but the image was very small. I hear really long boxes worked best.

Everything is better with Cinderella close by to watch.

Miriam's eclipse turned purple pretty early on. Then she flipped the page over and wrote her name. (I didn't even realize she could do that!) There wasn't enough room for the final "M," so she spent the next 15 minutes in her room crying that her project was ruined. It was a fun day, but we were all ready for bed by the end.

The Solar Eclipse (By Jonah)

This is mainly for Grandma Hunt, because she wants to hear what we think about the Solar Eclipse, but, what the heck, it's so weirdly interestingly cool, it's for everyone.

                THE SOLAR ECLIPSE---(by Jonah)

So, the Solar Eclipse started at 2:45, gradually darkening the sky. About 3:00, it reached the maximum (when it was as dark as it would get). We weren't directly in it's path of totality, so to speak, but we were pretty close. Our house was 98%, meaning the sun was almost completely covered. It got very cool from 2:50-3:10 or so. It was sooo weird, it was like looking through invisible sunglasses. My brain said "take the sunglasses off, this is getting awkward, Sun!" but I couldn't, as I didn't actually have on sunglasses on!

                            *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *
SO,  you're wondering, "how did you look at the Solar Eclipse?" well, there are a lot of ways. There are special cameras you can use to look at it. But daddy had some solar eclipse glasses, which when you look through them, you cannot see anything except for the sun. He also made a Pinhole Camera, as explained shortly. At one point, the mailman came to deliver a package. I asked her (it was a girl) if she wanted to look through the Solar Eclipse Glasses. She did, and said it was pretty cool. Then we opened the package, and inside was Caroline and my Nature Journals for school (we've started school already) there, I sketched what the solar eclipse looked like through the glasses, and also what they looked like through the Pinhole camera |

The pinhole camera is made by ( in this case, a Captain Crunch box ) cutting two holes in the top of the box. the first one tape foil over the top, and use a needle to poke a tiny hole. the second one you can look through, to see the light from the solar eclipse shining through. There will be two, and They will be in the same shape as the Solar Eclipse, too. It's pretty cool, actually.

Anyway, It was fun to see nighttime, literally  in the middle of the day!! -Jonah

You're lucky I like to blog, Grandmas . Now I will explode your brain! {by Jonah}

Today, we learn more about Heroes of the Storm!
Do you remember where we left off? We're due for a blog about Quests and Universe Identification!
If there's anything that sounds more like a boring math assignment..well..let me know!
So, go to where you choose your character. After you win/lose a game, click HOME (it may be different now) to get to your selection screen. You will see the character you played in the last game and your "exit" thingy. (How helpful is that?) click on that, and you will see two options (well, lots but two important ones). First, EXIT to quit your game, and second, QUESTS. There will be things like, 'win three games' or 'play a diablo hero' or 'play three warriors'. (By the way, Warriors have a lot of health and deal a bunch of damage, as apposed to healers which are the opposite, etc.)

                                        O     O      O      O      O

so, once you've checked your quests, then you click on the character you played for the last game.
This will bring you to the..er..something screen, (look, there's like, a thousand names that sound just like evil language arts homework, so cut me some slack,)which will give you a view of ALL the characters you own, and the ones you don't, meaning you see all the characters ever. Up on the top left, there is a row of symbols. One for Diablo III, Starcraft, Blizard, World of Warcraft, etc.
Example: If you click on one of the symbols (say, World of Warcraft,) Then all of the characters who have been re-created from that game, Malfurion, Brightwing, ETC, (actually a character!!) etc will be highlighted, so if you have a quest that says "PLAY THREE WARCRAFT CHARACTERS" click that and choose your hero!

Imagination Studio presents: a step-by-step guide to creating your own calendar! (By Jonah)

HOW TO MAKE A HOME-MADE CALENDAR - BY JONAH

step one: gather your resources. you will need: 1-12 sheets of paper, (12 if you are making
the entire calender at the same time, and vice versa.) one pencil, one pen, one ruler, patience and, if you are making a "trim" (see step 5 ), markers/colored pencils. You will also need a calender to copy off of.

step two: using your calender, starting at January, (or your present month,) start copying.
using your ruler, create 5/6 straight lines across the paper. Now going vertically, create the separate days. This may be confusing, in which case you can create the day squares individually, one at a time.

step three: mark out your days. example: you have your squares, now mark the numbers.
1, 2, 3! once you have written down the numbers, you can (optionally) create a 2-centimeter thick bar across the top. Now divide that into seven rectangles, and write down MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, and SUNDAY! Now, on top of your bar, on the left-hand side write '*month*, *year*' example, at this time of writing it is August. So I would write 'August 2017'.

step four: mark out the events in your month. (i.e., solar eclipse, birthday, party, et cetera)
here I don't really have to write much instruction. It's pretty simple.

step five: (OPTIONAL) create the "trim".
the "trim", as I am calling it, is a strip of a separate piece of paper attached with glue or tape to the other side. you could color on it to create a picture on top of your calender. Using your markers/colored pencils, draw your own design. From beautiful patterns to giraffes to a Jedi duel, you can create a decorative picture, as well as a useful tool!

hang on your wall and enjoy!
