Caroline loses a tooth x 2

Caroline has been fussing with a loose tooth for a while now. Even when it was barely wiggly enough to be worth mentioning, she was full of questions about teeth.

C: When a tooth gets loose, will it fall out on its own or do you have to pull it out?
Me: It will eventually fall out on its own.
C: Okay, good.
Me: Why? Do you have a loose tooth?
C (clamping her hands over her mouth): NO!

Eventually the wiggly was too much for her and she asked Josh to pull out her most wiggly tooth. The whole thing was quick, painless, and sort of exciting. After that, she asked Josh to pull out her other wiggly tooth. That one was less loose, so the process was a bit more distressing for her, but only for a few minutes.

By the time she was buying candy from the concession stand at Jonah's soccer game with two shiny golden dollars (our resident tooth fairy's standard payment for a first tooth*), she was exceptionally proud of her missing bottom teeth.

*Fortunately, our tooth fairy's piggy bank contains exactly one more golden dollar. Unless Miriam manages to lose two on her first day too, the tooth fairy should be able to avoid any special trips to the bank.
