Do you remember Minecraft? If you do, continue, if not, go back a few hundred blogs.
Okay now that your memory is replenished, do you remember the multiplayer server called Intecraften? You know the drill. I'll wait.................................................................................................
Done yet?
Okay, I made a friend there. Her [or I am assuming it is a "her"] Minecraft name is:
PandaGirl0709. She had no home and was still trying to digest the awesomeness of Minecraft when by chance I found out that she was homeless. So, having a mining business myself, I offered to help her build a home and she accepted! Now we are very good friends. We run a hotel, I have a shop, P. owns a Party business, where she plans parties, and we are VERY successful miners. We each have a set of diamond tools! [which for you Non-Minecraft-players, is very rare and even more valuable]
I made her a set of Iron armor, just for being such a fun friend to play with! Just so you know, iron isn't very rare, but still quite valuable
HAVE FUN EXPLORING, MINING, AND CRAFTING, P!
[oh, wait, i can tell her that on chat! Oh well, I'll say it twice! Yeah!]
Anyway, I just need to say, MINECRAFT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and goodbye.

Miriam's safe place:
While cleaning up Miriam's room with her, I gave her a stack of papers to put in the trash.
"Oh no," she said. "These are for my projects."
"Ok then," I replied. "Put them in your drawer."
Cut to a few minutes later when we got to a little journal my mom gave her. I told her to put it in a safe place. This is what I found later that day:
Her little stool in the middle of the kitchen floor, protecting her papers and journal. Safe place!

"THE BATTLE BEGINS IN TEN SECONDS.......5,4,3,2,1, LET THE SCHOOLING BEGIN!!!" [By Jonah]
MORE ON HEROES OF THE STORM
I don't believe I have been on the blog the last couple of weeks because I saved my spring break for Jojo and she was here last week. Anyway, as I was saying...................................................................
MORE ON HEROES OF THE STORM
We've talked about the Map, Talents, Abilities, and lots of other things, and today we will learn about
what happens when you win/lose a game. Here's another way to explain it, Question: after the core is destroyed, what happens? Answer: Ahem [I was waiting for this the entire time. How deeply do I have to explain things for crying out loud?!]
The narrator, [the person who says "5,4,3,2,1, let the battle begin!"] says "victory!"/"Defeat!" and after a pause, it will take you the Score Screen, which tells you how much experience you have earned, which after you get enough it will level you up and the higher you go you get skins which make you look cool. Anyway, it gives you your experience, then it can tell you what talents your enemies took, [and your team, too] and, there is a place where you can see who dealt the most siege damage [damage to towers and Minions] hero damage, [you guessed it! Damage to heroes] and who had top experience [uhhhhhh....top experience?] and AND [I promise last "and"] top role. If you are a support, a healer, and you heal the most of anyone in the game, then you had the best Healer Role. If you are a warrior, and you toke the most damage in the game, then you have the best Warrior Role. Then, if you want to know when you are REALLY famous, you can have a better role than anyone. Not a better role than your fellow warriors, but you take so much damage you have a better role than the other assassins, healers, and specialists, too!
I believe I have explained it thoroughly enough for everyone to understand. [yeah right. Oops, did I say that out loud? well, if i did, then it was..............uh......because there is more! No, really.]
and THEN you go to Hero Select, which is where you can pick which hero you want to play. It tells you the Role of your hero [see above] and which game it came from. Diablo is from Diablo ||| [lol] Nova is from starcraft || Malfurian is from World of Warcraft, and Tracer is from Overwatch. Finding out your role and universe is useful when completing a Quest, which you will be schooled on next week, little 1st Grader :)

packing for a trip
We spend a fair amount of time in the car. Because I love to listen to audiobooks while we drive, I'm really happy for the kids to have something to do in the car other than yell at each other and roll down the window. It's very common for me to say something before we leave along the lines of, "Kids! Pack a bag or some books! We're going to be in the car for a bit!"
Miriam takes this charge very seriously. Last week, in preparation for a trip to the doctor's office, she packed the following:
Today, we headed off to the airport and I told the kids to pack themselves something to do. Jonah brought a book. Miriam packed a backpack with 4 books and the recorder. Caroline packed a lightsaber, a cap gun, and a jump rope. You can probably guess how well that worked out for us!

Caroline and the female lion
Today at the zoo, we could only find one of the two lions. Jonah mentioned that the female lion was missing, and Caroline immediately asked what the word "female" meant. I didn't think anything of it after that because we still had to see the tiger and the otters and the playground before we could head home.
After playing on the playground for at least 30 minutes, we decided to try out the tram to the botanical garden. We've never been before (even though the ticket price covers both parks), so it was all a bit of an adventure. While we waited for the tram, the older man working the tram line asked the kids what their favorite animals were so far. Caroline cocked her head to one side and asked him, "Where is the female lion?"
He looked at me with a funny expression that I didn't understand, so I just laughed and changed the subject. Caroline was not interested in changing subjects, however, and kept talking about the missing female lion. It became clear to me while listening to her talk to the man that the female lion died (but he didn't want to tell her that in case it upset her). Once I figured that out, I told her that the female lion died. The following was the end of the conversation:
C: Oh, so the female lion is dead.
Me: Yes.
C: I'm sad that she died.
The man: So are we, but she was very old. We are looking for a new female lion.
C (peering suspiciously at the man): Do lions EAT other lions?
The man: No, I don't think that they do.
C (nodding sagely): Ah, so the male lion did not kill her. That's good.
We spent almost two hours at the botanical gardens and went out for slushies before she pulled out her notebook and pencil and said, "Mommy? How do you spell 'the female lion died'?"
